So what cycling events do you have planned for July?
July is pretty quiet with no planned rides until the middle of month. Being winter, most of these rides are in sunny Queensland.
In Western Australia, you’ll also find the Element Road Series, which is 3-4 series fondo or race. The second round is in through the challenging hills of Gidgegannup, where you will scale the heights of the Eagles Nest, and finish with a rewarding treat from the well-known Gidgegannup Bakery.
In Queensland, the month starts off with the Velethon Sunshine Coast. This is a great excuse to escape the winter cold and to get in a weekend of cycling around Maroochydore.
If you’re looking for a challenge, then the Rathdowney Rumble along the McPherson Ranges, inland from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, might interest you!
Around Brisbane, the Tour de Logan is a 1 day ride with multiple distances through Logan, south of Brisbane.
You’ll also find a list below of all of the rides in July. Click on the first little grey box to search for a Ride by the State, the Discipline (CX, Gravel, MTB or Road), the Terrain (flat, undulating, mountainous, mixed), the Distance (1-40, 41-80, 81-120, 121-160, 161+ km), the Type of Ride (24 hr, Century, Charity, Gran-Fondo, Multi-day, Recreational, Retro, Ultra) and the Location.
You can find other rides in our online Cycling Event Calendar, which has over 200 events listed in it.
And please don’t forget to leave a review of any rides you’ve attended. This helps other riders to work out if it’s a ride that they want to attend or not! All you have to do is leave a comment at the bottom of the page of the ride page. You can find a list of all the rides here.
