This website is owned and operated by Cycle Down Under. The below Terms & Conditions govern the access to, and use of, the Cycle Down Under service and website.

It is a requirement of accessing this site that all users read and accept the following terms. Once you have engaged with our service in any way, we will assume that you have read these terms and that you agree to be bound by them at all times during your use of our directory and other website features.

Any reference to ‘us’, ‘our’ or ‘we’ refers, at all times, to Cycle Down Under. Any reference to ‘you’ or ‘your’ refers to our website users.

ABOUT CYCLE DOWN UNDER

Cycle Down Under is an online directory providing cycling enthusiasts with an opportunity to view listings of cycling events all over Australia and New Zealand. All listings will conveniently direct you to the event organizers website where you are able to learn further details and register for events.

Cycle Down Under also provides a platform whereby you are able to post your own listings of rides or events, as well as create a personal riding bucket list and rate and review events or popular riding routes.

The Cycle Down Under website is for use under our discretion only. We reserve the right to refuse the use of any of our services or functions to anyone at any time without notice or explanation.

THIRD PARTY LINKS

All listings created by Cycle Down Under will take users to a third party website, where further event details will be available. These websites are owned and operated by third party organizers and are not connected to Cycle Down Under, unless expressly stated.

Cycle Down Under always attempts to maintain correct and proper event information on our listings, however we cannot be responsible for changes or amendments made by event organizers, which may result in our event listing being incorrect or outdated. It is always users responsibility to ensure all details are correct with the event organizer directly.

In addition to this, we do not take responsibility for any other information; policies or views/opinions expressed on third party websites and will not be held liable for any loss, damage or other consequences that may arise out of the use of third party websites or services.

USER LISTINGS

Cycle Down Under welcomes additions to our directory made by website visitors. All submissions are thoroughly checked over before they are accepted. We reserve the right to refuse listings, delete listings, or request that amendments be made before listings are accepted for posting.

If you have submitted an event that has been approved and posted, you will be responsible for notifying Cycle Down Under if any changes are made that would require our listing to be updated. Failure to do so may result in the deletion of your event or the refusal to post future events on our directory.

COMMENTING

Users of Cycle Down Under are given the opportunity to rate and review rides through comments on our website. In order to leave a comment about a ride or event, users must have created a profile through our website. All comments will be monitored and we reserve the right to delete comments at any time if they are deemed to be derogatory or offensive in any way.

Users will be held responsible for any comments posted. We do not allow amendments to or deletion of published comments, by the author or any other party.

AFFILIATES

Cycle Down Under makes users aware that we may receive compensation or some other benefit from affiliate third parties in exchange for featuring advertising or some other form of sponsored content on our website. Please contact us if you have any concerns or questions regarding these practices.

Any listing posted on behalf of or in conjunction with an affiliate will be clearly labeled as such.

Once you decide to register for a third party event you are dealing only with the organizer responsible for that event and are no longer within the realm of Cycle Down Under.

All content, information and imagery provided through the Cycle Down Under website or brand, or through customer service correspondence with our staff, is intended strictly for general purposes. Cycle Down Under does not make any guarantee (express or implied) as to the accuracy, currency, reliability or completeness of any materials provided. Cycle Down Under is an interactive website that encourages input from our users, and as such, we ensure that we have the strictest of privacy policies and guidelines in place to protect user information.

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

For the effective use of the Cycle Down Under website directory and functions, we will require users to share certain pieces of personal information. This will include your name and contact details such as an e-mail address or phone number. Users submitting events for listing may be required to supply additional personal information in the process of our verifying and listing your event.

COMMENTS & MEDIA

If you choose to leave a comment on Cycle Down Under, you will be given a choice as to whether you leave your name. Your e-mail address/website will be saved in a cookie in your browser’s information.

Upon leaving a comment, we will collect any and all data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser agent string. This is to enable use to utilize spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data included. These are images formatted ‘EXIF’ and ‘GPS’. Other visitors to Cycle Down Under are able to download and extract the additional location data from any images on the website.

USE & STORAGE OF INFORMATION

Cycle Down Under will keep your personal information confidential at all times. It will only be used as a way of identifying and contacting you for our own purposes, for example, verifying event listing details or discussing amendments.

We will also keep your e-mail address on our database so that we can keep you in the loop about Cycle Down Under and any new event listings etc.

The only people with access to your information will be authorized employees of Cycle Down Under and it will only be accessed when required for the purposes of contacting you or for any other reason necessary in the ordinary course of our business. If you have chosen to leave a comment at Cycle Down Under, this comment and its metadata are stored indefinitely.
