TooMoo is a challenging ride down the Great Dividing Range
TooMoo is an annual charity ride from Toowoomba to Mooloolaba which will challenge cyclists because of the distance and climbs.
This ride starts at Toowoomba, on top of the Great Dividing Range outside Brisbane, and finishes at Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast. For what started out as an excuse to go for a long ride, has turned into a fun fundraising event for local charities. With the support of local community groups providing support for the ride, this is turning into a real event of the calendar.
This is a 1 day cycling event where you will ride a challenging 220km and climb over 2000m, via Esk, Kilcoy, Woodford and Peachester.
The TooMoo is a ride that you will need to train for, and the organisers suggest that you have completed a 150km ride within the last year.
You’ll find other cycling events, like the TooMoo, in our online Cycling Event Calendar.
Enjoy!

Is the organiser ok there are significant entry fees in trust
I spoke with them earlier in the year and the main organiser was in the process of relocating to a different town but had hopes to still keep the ride going.
This ride did not happen and the organiser is AWOL with all the registration fees.
I’m not sure what is happening with this ride, and can’t find any details to confirm. I’d suggest you contact Bicycle Queensland, and see what they suggest you do. Or contact the QLD Ombudsman https://www.ombudsman.qld.gov.au/
I’ve managed to speak with Racheal. Its not happening in May – It looks more like August. She said she’s updating FB and website at the end of the week 🙂
Thanks Sharlee, I’ll keep my eyes open for the new dates and update this listing! Keeping on top of ride changes is difficult with the uncertainty of COVID affecting things!
Has anyone got confirmation on the Toomoo August 29 2021 , there are no new Facebook notifications after the Sharlee was told it would be updated by the end of April!
I have tried to get a refund after the event did not go ahead in May, no response to Facebook, email or text, I am concerned, anyone else been refunded?
Cheers Richard
Richard, call this number – 0413436985 – and chat to Rachel. The number works, but tentatively it is for te 28th of August 2021. Best of luck!

Good Afternoon
Just a question with this ride. What is the avg pace for this ride. Is it a popular ride and limited to numbers
Hi Brad, i have contacted the organisers, it is a shame that the ride is off this year. The numbers are limited for the TooMoo and is based upon the seats available in the coaches to return riders back to Toowoomba. With 11 hours of sun light available and 220 km’s to travel. with not breaks the ave is 20 kph The ride should take less than 10hrs as it is “Down hill” even with 2000+m of climbing. So expect to try to average around the 25 kph. Roll on, cheers
Jon
Hi Brad, on the TooMoo website, go to the “contact us” via the menu. This will then have a phone number etc. hopefully this helps?
