The Big Push Charity Ride celebrates being a dad with a 3-day ride from Sydney to Canberra!

The Big Push Charity Ride is a charity ride that brings fathers, father figures and family members together with the one goal of celebrating a man’s most important role in the world – being a dad!

You’ll be riding from Sydney (Picton) to Canberra, 280km over 3 days, whilst also raising money for The Fathering Project in NSW.

The ride is capped at a small number of riders. Typically a maximum of 46 riders, so you will need to register early to ensure a spot.

The Big Push starts at Picton which is about 90km from the Sydney CBD, along the Hume Highway to the south-west.

Day 1: Picton to Goulburn- 148km with about 1750+m elevation gain. The start of the day is all about climbing for 50km up onto the plains, through to Bowral. Then head away from the Hume Highway M31, on the country back roads with undulating countryside. A good solid day of riding.

Day 2: Goulburn to Sutton, 106km with about 1000m of climbing. The day starts with a solid climb over the first 30km before the turn south and the descent towards the Highway. Then the road turns flat along the banks of Lake George before a final set of undulations on the approach into Sutton. Another solid day in the saddle.

Day 3: Sutton to Canberra, 26km. An easy day after the effort of the previous two days. On arriving in Canberra, you’ll then be transported back to Sydney/Picton.

The weather at this time of year will be starting to get a little cool in the evening and in the morning. The days should be perfect riding conditions, and not too warm.
