Ride for Isabel is a charity ride for cyclists of all ability that aims to raise awareness and help to fund research into Stillbirth and Neonatal Death.

This ride starts and finishes at Gordonvale, which is just south of Cairns in far north Queensland. Tropical North Queensland is a popular holiday destination and is a beautiful place to visit.

There are 2 ride distances on offer: 50km and 100km.

leaving Gordonvale, you’ll ride out via Pine Creek Road to Bessie Point where refreshments and toilets will be available before returning to Norman Park for morning tea. Riders will then head south turning off the highway at Aloomba taking the back roads to the end of Babagallo Road where refreshments will be available. Riders will then return to Gordonvale for a barbeque lunch hosted by the Gordonvale Lions Club.

This is a charity ride that was founded by Curtis Pitt and his wife Kerry to honour the memory of their daughter Isabel and aims to raise awareness and funds for Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Support (SANDS) Queensland. All proceeds from the ride will be donated to SANDS Queensland and will support counselling and bereavement services, as well as events like the ‘Walk to Remember’ being held in Cairns later this year.
