Ride Daylesford is a great day out to explore the spectacular spa country scenery

Ride Daylesford is a recreational ride through some beautiful countryside around Daylesford with rides to suit the needs of all cyclists.

Make a weekend of it, by doing the ride on a Saturday morning and then enjoy the “Spa” Country. In the words of a music presenter from the 1980’s “Do yourself a favour” and discover the attractions of the Daylesford and Hepburn Valley region.

There are 3 rides on offer: the 33km (+519m gain), the 63km ride (+750m gain) and the 146km ride (+1732m gain).

The long 146km ride is a good ride in the countryside going through some of the local towns. Starting and finishing in Daylesford, cyclists will ride through the beautiful countryside of Hepburn, Macedon Ranges and Mount Alexander Shires. The ride will pass the towns of Kyneton, Malmsbury, Elphinston, Faraday, Taradale, Harcourt, Walmer, Maldon, Newstead, Franklinford, and Hepburn Springs before returning to Daylesford.

Keep something in reserve for the final climb back up to Daylesford. Then you can savour the coffee and food of Daylesford. It is suitable for riders of all types. Experienced riders will find it challenging enough for their legs, while first-timers will be well supported by Aid Stations to help them achieve the distance.
