The Otway Odyssey is a great weekend off the beaten track

The Otway Odyssey is a wellknown mountain biking event, that is held at the spectacular Otway Ranges near Forrest in south-western Victoria.

The Otway Odyssey has been running for over 15 years, and hasa reputation for running awesome races through incredible MTB trails. These races are the most well regarded in Australia and provide an epic mountain biking experience for any rider – from Australia’s elite riders through to the newbies.

The Otway Odyssey has built a solid reputation as Australia’s most respected mountain biking event thanks to the quality of the single track, the challenging courses, the magnificent wilderness and the electrifying race atmosphere that welcomes any rider – elite, weekend warriors, novices and kids.

You’ll find a range of different courses over the weekend. The Mt bikes are the focus on Saturday, with a series of distances on the single track of a tough ascent of the Otway ranges. The Sunday is over to the gravel tracks on the roads in and around Forest in the Gravel Grind events.

• Otway Rookie 30km – MTB
• Otway Grommets – fun riding for (little) kids – MTB

Sunday

• Otway Pioneer 10km – MTB
• Gravel Grind big ring 97km – Gravel
• Gravel Grind little ring 49km – Gravel

in 2021, the 100km event returns to the original course that has been used at the inception of the race involving more climbs. The 50km and 30km race also changes slightly but continues to go through the footy ground before the finish line.
