Ride Details

Newcastle to Dungog Charity Bike Ride is a ride for everyone through beautiful countryside.

Newcastle to Dungog Charity Bike Ride is a 1 day charity ride where you will ride from Newcastle to Dungog, on the Williams River in the Hunter region of NSW.

This cycling event caters for all levels of rider, from professionals down to those just wanting to take it steady and enjoy the beautiful scenery. You can either stay and enjoy the day at Dungog or grab a lift or ride back to Newcastle.

&%% of  funds raised will go to Hunter Medical Research Institute (HRMI) who lead the way in research for asthma, stroke, cancer, diabetes, mental health, nutrition and more. The remainder will go to Newcastle Rotary for community projects.

This is an 88.5 km  ride with a total ascent of 341.77 m and a maximum elevation of 134.27 m. Oransisers state that the road conditions are rough. Think Paris-Roubaix but the country side is excellent. Numbers are limited to 300 cyclists.

This looks like a great excuse for a weekend away, especially when combined with the Dungog Pedalfest, a weekend festival of cycling with events for the whole family.
