Murray to Moyne is a unique team relay from Mildura, Swan Hill and Echuca to Port Fairy.
This ride is very unique, as you ride it as a team nonstop, which means, depending on which course you take, you may end up riding all day and through the night.
There are 3 different courses on offer which will allow you to experiences the beauty of the Victorian countryside, cycling through rolling hills, enjoying night riding and the dedicated help of a fabulous support team over the entire weekend. You can start at 3 different locations: Mildura, Swan Hill or Echuca
The 250-300km Day Timers riding relay Saturday from Mildura, Swan Hill or Echuca until dusk, or finish in Horsham or Stawell, whichever is first by night (opting out of the night ride into Hamilton), plus 90kms on Sunday.
The number of riders in the Night Rider and Day-Timer teams is capped at 1500.
The 90km Sunday Striders – Relay from Hamilton to Port Fairy on Sunday. The number of riders in the Sunday Strider teams is capped at 200.
Teams usually consist of 8 – 12 riders from novice up, who are willing to train up to the standard required for the ride itself. The team then needs to divide up into subgroups of generally 2-4 riders of similar ability who relay with the other sub-groups in the team for a distance of 20 to 30 kms at a time. The Murray to Moyne is a charity ride, and raise funds for hospitals, health services and related charities.
