Explore the beauty of the Albany coastline with the MSWA Albany Ride

The MSWA Albany Ride is a charity ride that is based in Albany, a seaside coastal town that is based in the south-west of Western Australia. This is a beautiful place to visit and is a popular tourist destination.

After great success over the past three years, and an overwhelming show of support from the local council and community, the MSWA Albany Ride is set to return for another year.

This unique, family friendly event now includes four ride distances to cater for people of all ages and capabilities. It follows some of the most beautiful scenery in the Great Southern region, starting and finishing at Emu Point, Albany.

The routes will take riders through scenic Albany, and the various courses explore some of its most iconic spots including the National ANZAC Centre, the Historic Whaling Station, the Wind Farm and Middleton Beach!

You’ll find a variety of different rides suitable for everyone, whether you’re new to cycling or a seasoned veteran! There is the:

• 10km Family Ride that is along the coastline.
• 40km Ride with an elevation gain of 472m.
• 80km Challenge with an elevation gain of 865m
• 103km Challenge with more than 1000m elevation gain

The MSWA Albany Ride is a great opportunity for a weekend away. I can’t think of a better excuse! There will be limited registration on the morning of the event.

All funds, raised by the MSWA Albany Ride, stay in Albany and the Great Southern region. MSWA’s dedicated outreach centre in Albany provides support to those people living with MS and all neurological conditions. This event allows participants to not only experience the stunning region, but also help make a real difference to people living with neurological conditions in the Great Southern region. This includes people living with multiple sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, and acquired Brain Injury, to name a few.
