Gravel Grit Laguna is a great day out for new and experienced off-road riders who don’t mind a bit of gravel

Gravel Grit Laguna is an off-road event through the beautiful Olney State Forest for new and experienced gravel riders.

This ride starts at Laguna, in the historic Wollombi Valley, just 2 hours drive from Sydney or 1 hour from Newcastle.

Gravel Grit Laguna has two rides on offer. The 67km ride (+659m gain) that is called  The Low Road, and the 76km ride (+839m gain) that’s called  The High Road.

The Low Road is suitable for riders who are new to riding off-road or on gravel. Starting from Laguna,  you’ll be climbing into the state forest, rolling through some farming land and then back down into Laguna.

The High Road takes on another 10km loop with some extra technical riding and some interesting sections. With two collapsed bridges on the track, you’ll be wondering if you’re on the correct road. This is a ride for those looking for an extra challenge!

The ride finishes with a meal and a drink, and the opportunity to share a few horror stories over your ride!

This is the perfect opportunity to spend a weekend away, in a beautiful part of Australia.

New to 2019 is the “Sunday Ride Pass”, with the ability to stay overnight and then ride the course again or complete the other route not completed on Saturday. there will be access to overnight camping, car parking and a BBQ breakfast. The weekend just got a lot better.
