Go for Broke VIC100 is a challenging ride from the city to the blue mountains

The Go for Broke bike ride is a charity ride from the city to the Blue Mountains. Starting in Penrith, 50km west of Sydney, and finishing in the Blue Mountains at Mount Victoria. The Blue Mountains are renowned as being Sydney’s backyard playground, with Mount Victoria perched at the very top.  This heritage-listed town is a lovely place to visit.

The VIC100 is a challenging 100km ride starts beside the Nepean River at Penrith and finishes at Mount Victoria 1000m above sea level. The ride is tough but you’ll be riding together in pelotons, supporting each other and the great work Lifeline does.

But make sure you conserve your energy. With 90km in your legs you’ll have your chance to see what you’re made of when all riders can Go for Broke for the last 10km.

Over the day, you’ll be covering 180km with 2000+m of elevation gain.

There is a coach to transport you and your bike back to the start. Or you could stay and enjoy the weekend in the Blue Mountain region.
