The Century Challenge is a challenging ride through the beautiful hinterland of the NSW  central coast

The Century Challenge is a 1 day charity gravel and road ride with a new route in 2022 through the Yarramalong and Dooralong Valleys in the Central Coast of NSW. Located just one hour north of Sydney, it starts and finishes at Mardi near Wyong and the Olney and Ourimbah State Forests.

The 2022 ride brings change with a new location for starting and 3  new rides to suit both off road and on road cyclists of all ability.

The 100km Twin Valleys 100 signature ride through the Yarramalong and Dooralong Valleys. It’s a fast relatively flat course for the majority of the ride with some hills in the second half. Ideal for the cyclist who has been building endurance during the season and wants to tick a Century ride off the bucket list

The 50 km Yarramalong 50 gives you the option of a shorter flat course for the beginner starting to push the distance milestone out or intermediate rider that is more comfortable with cycling for a couple of hours.

The 38km Ourimbah Gravel is a new ride suitable for mountain and gravel bikes.  This gravel road route takes you along an access road through Forestry Commission land with an excursion on ridgelines in Ourimbah State Forest. It’s a testing first half ride with a total of 800m of cumulative climbing  until you arrive at the old quarry location that provides great vistas of the hinterland, with a downhill run home.

So if you live in Sydney (or nearby), you should make the effort to attend this ride. Recreational rides like this need to be supported, individually we ride, together we define what it is to be a community.
