Event Details

One Island, A Million Senses. The Tasmanian Circumnavigation.

NATURE-WILDERNESS-IMMERSION
The 5th Edition of the Official Tasmania Circumnavigation ride will take place between the 28th March and 10th April 2023. The tour began as Australia’s only 100% charity ride where staff volunteer their time & cover their own expenses to maximise fundraising targets. This generosity and drive has continued as the tour evolves and becomes enriched over the years.

THE PERFECT CYCLING ISLE
Tasmania offers some of the most spectacular and diverse scenery for cycling in the world. From thick forests in Scottsdale and Derby, to the pristine beaches along the East Coast, the green shoreline of the River Derwent, the challenging hills around the states Hydroelectric schemes, the remote untouched beauty of Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area – the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park and the baron yet unique lands of the far west mining towns of Queenstown and Tullah.

SAFETY & PEACE OF MIND
The fully supported tour means our staff are with you the entire way.
Carrying your luggage, drinks, food, spares, our Tour Guides & Support Vehicle will be close by all day and every day.
Whilst the East Coast passes through quaint coastal towns with good mobile reception, the West Coast can pose some challenges due to its remoteness and smaller population.
Support provides riders with peace of mind and a full sense of security, especially in the West.

ROUTES & DISTANCES
Participants have the choice to ride one of the the routes in offer:
1. Full Map: circumnavigating the entire island in a clockwise direction over approximately 1090km
2. East Map: ride the east coast from Hobart to Launceston over approximately 510km
3. West Map: riding the west coast from Launceston to Hobart over approximately 580km

This flexibility allows riders with less time on their hands to circumnavigate the island over 2 years.

VOLUNTARY FUNDRAISING
Not all riders are able to raise money, hence the introduction of a ‘Full Fee’ option allows those with constraints to join the tour without the pressure of chasing funds from family, friends and colleagues.
Those who wish to raise money will receive a discount on their tour fee for their efforts.
The management and staff volunteer their time to run the Tasmania Circumnavigation, allowing us to donate all monies raised to the beneficiaries.
