The Can4Cancer Ride raises vital funds for pioneering cancer research at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. It is organised by the Tour de Cure, an Australian charity that raises money to fund cancer research, prevention and support services and programs.  They are based in Sydney and organise cycling tours and fundraising events throughout Australia. There are a series of events to suit riders who live in any state of Australia covering different timeframes. Most of the rides tend to be a multi-day ride or event covering anywhere from 200 to 1000 km.

The Tour de Cure cycling events have some well-known high profile cyclists including former professional cyclist, Jens Voigt, Australian champion rower Drew Ginn,  Paralympic Matthew Formston, the professional actor Eric Bana and the Sunrise sports presenter Mark Beretta. These people cycle the full event,  they don’t just sit on the sideline and wave you off at the start line. They ride the whole distance with you, so you can get up close and personal.

You’ll find other cycling events, like the Can4Cancer NSW Ride, in our online Cycling Event Calendar.
