The Women on Wheels ride is a great day out for tassie women!
Women on Wheels is held in Tassie’s Bike Week each year. It’s a great opportunity for women of all skills and abilities to enjoy a supported ride in friendly company, building skills and confidence on a bike and just having fun. Riding a bicycle has given women independence, fun and exercise over the decades, but many are nervous about riding alone or on busy roads.
For the twentieth anniversary, this popular ride will be bigger and better than ever! With organisers trying out a new meeting place, and a bigger selection of rides to choose from. All bikes and riders of all levels are welcome.
This ride is based in Hobart, with 3 routes.
- More challenging route via Queens Domain and ICC: 26km, 204m climbing.
- Standard route via ICC and Glenorchy Arts and Science Precinct: 23km, 88m climbing.
- Family route, ICC only: (up to) 12km, 70m climbing.
