Cycle under the beautiful flowering trees with the Tour of the Jacarandas

The Tour of the Jacarandas is an annual ride under the beautiful flowering Jacarandas trees, south of the river in Perth. Many of the streets in Perth’s older suburbs are lined with Jacaranda trees, and should be in full bloom.

The Tour of the Jacarandas is the ‘golden opportunity’ (or should I say ‘purple opportunity’) to cycle through some of the most scenic streets in Perth. You’ll be cycling through tree-lined streets in South Perth – Kensington– Manning – Mt Henry Estate and over to Applecross and Como.

This ride is now in its 8th year and is held to support developing riders in the cycling community.

The Tour of the Jacarandas is a social recreational event with a distance of 30km to suit riders of all level and ability. And if you’ve never attended a cycling event before, it’s a great opportunity to attend your first organised cycling event or ride.

And if you’ve got a few cycling events under your belt, then it’s a great opportunity to encourage some cycling friends who are new to events to attend.

The ride is supported, with cycling coaches, ride captains and support vehicles. Riders will be divided into smaller groups rather than one large group.  Plus there will be lots of opportunities to stop and take photos, so don’t forget your phone!

You’ll find other cycling events, like the Tour of the Jacarandas, in our online Cycling Event Calendar.

Enjoy!
