The VIC Discovery Tour is a challenging 3 day ride through the Victorian countryside and coast

The VIC Discovery Tour by Tour de Cure is a 3 day ride through some of Victoria’s most scenic countryside.

The tour starts in Mansfield, a small town in the foothills of the Victorian Alps, and finishes in Melbourne. And each day you will cycle to a new town, supporting local cancer organisations each day.

This ride has riding levels for all riders. They’ll have 6-7 pelotons of 20-26 riders, based on experience and ability. There will be Tour de Cure ride leaders in each peloton, who are in radio contact with support cars that travel at the front and back of each peloton. Each peloton car is a fully supported safety vehicle with driver, navigator plus nutrition, medical and mechanical assistance. You can nominate which level of peloton you wish to ride in on tour, and your request will be taken into consideration by our training team based on your skills and fitness.

Day 0, Wednesday 22 November: Meet in Mansfield or take TDC bus transfer from Melbourne to Mansfield
Day 1, Thursday 23 November: Mansfield – Jamieson – Mansfield
Day 2, Friday 24 November: Mansfield – Marysville
Day 3, Saturday 25 November: Marysville – Melbourne

The VIC Discovery Tour raises vital funds for pioneering cancer research at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. It is organised by the Tour de Cure, an Australian charity that raises money to fund cancer research, prevention and support services and programs.  They are based in Sydney and organise cycling tours and fundraising events throughout Australia. Most of the rides tend to be a multi-day ride or event covering anywhere from 200 to 1000 km.
