Rockleigh 105 Gravel Fest
The Rockleigh 105 Gravel Fest is a weekend of gravel and MTB events at the South Mount Lofty (Rockleigh) Ranges, just 30 minutes outside of Adelaide, South Australia. You’ll find everything you could possibly want with joyous undulations, vistas, ridge tops, and valleys in the back hills.
The Gravel Fest is a challenge ride of sorts, and not a race. It’s a Gravel Gran Fondo with a festive spirit.
On the Saturday, you’ll find Mtb Big Day Out, a CX event and a Sunset Gravel ride which will cater for riders of various skill levels and distances.

- 35km MTB Mid day out
- 17km MTB Easy day out
- 25 km cycle cross (CX) day out
- 40km Sunset night Grinder (Gravel)
Sunday is the main day of the Gravel fest with a range of distances which are all suited to the gravel bike, including:
- Rockleigh 105km with 2100+m of elevation gain (the Grand Fondo style gravel event)
- Rockleigh 65km with 1200+m of elevation gain
- Rockleigh 45km with 900+m of elevation gain
- Rockleigh 21km Family friendly with 274m of elevation gain.

new to this event and have a couple questions
I have my mtb and would do the 65klm stage, but also thinking I would like to do the 105 Rockleigh event instead, but don’t have a gravel bike yet
So can the 105 stage be done on a mtb?
If so are the trials mainly roads, or single track

Hi Adrian, riding a Mt bike on the gravel roads is commonplace. The gravel road is normally a firebreak track or gravel road that is used by other motorists. The mt bike may not be as efficient on the gravel roads. Very doable. We are not the event organiser, so you may want to contact them directly to change the registration.
