Outbike’s Gulf to Gulf Southbound is a fantastic opportunity to ride across Australia

Arcadia Travel provides a fantastic opportunity for cyclists to travel through the heart of Outback Australia with Outbike’s Gulf to Gulf Southbound.

Starting at Karumba in far north Queensland, you’ll ride through the Carpentaria’s Gulf Country via Normanton to Cloncurry before arriving at Mt Isa. Week 2 you’ll roll across Queensland’s iconic Channel Country to Birdsville. Week 3 will have you traversing the legendary Birdsville Track to reach the desert railhead of Maree. In the fourth (and last week), you’ll explore the spectacular Flinders Ranges before finishing at Port Augusta.

Half rides of 15 days are possible; Karumba to Birdsville or Birdsville to Port Augusta.

There is also a Gulf to Gulf Northbound route the previous month.

Outbike’s Gulf to Gulf is a small ride with a maximum of 22 riders.

This ride is fully supported and catered with several vehicles (buses, 4wds) and 5-6 crew and volunteers. You’ll be camping every night and gear is provided.

You’ll be able to ride and see a lot of Australia in one month!
