Mission for WA is a life-changing ride to make a difference
Mission for Melanoma WA is a 2-day off-road cycling event from Perth to Northam and return along the scenic Kep Track and through the scenic John Forrest National Park outside Perth.
The Kep Track is a heritage trail travelling through the Swan and Avon Valleys. Which means it is all off road, including going through the John Forrest National Park towards Chidlow, Wooroloo, Baker’s Hill (famous for the Pie Shop), Clackline and Spencers Brook.
The fund raising target for this event is $1500, with only a limited number of places, capped at 50. This is a charity ride, with funds being raised for Melanoma WA.
Mission for Melanoma WA is a mountain bike ride on the track that connects Perth to Northam. Can be done on a gravel bike with at least 32mm wide tires. Personally, I would go with the maximum that I could fit on my rig.
You’ll be starting in Midland and travelling through to Muresk, near Northam. You’ll be overnighting in lodge accommodation with all meals included.
This is a 160km round trip ie 80km out and 80km back. Note that the first day is climbs, with descents on the second day, joyous. So you’ll be riding for approx 4-5 hrs with numerous stops along the way.
You’ll find other cycling events, like Mission for Melanoma WA, in our online Cycling Event Calendar.
Enjoy!
