Lofty 105 is a weekend of gravel rides just outside Adelaide

Lofty 105 is a Gravel Fest weekend with rides to suit new and experienced riders. This event is located at the Monarto Sporting Complex, at Monarto which is about 65km inland from Adelaide.

There’s a Night Grinder on Saturday night, where you’ll ride 40km of gravel by moonlight (don’t forget to bring your lights).

The main event is held on Sunday, with 4 courses on offer to suit any level of cyclist: 21km, 45km, 65km and 105km.

The course is predominantly off sealed roads and is described as an eclectic mix of cycling modes.

Each ride distance includes some of the best off-pavement roads in the area, centred around the South Lofty Ranges in between Monarto, Callington, Harrogate, Rockleigh and Tungkillo.

• 105km Lofty – The main challenge with ride cut off times in place and slow riders may be short coursed (times are generous).
• 65km Lofty Mid – Takes in all the highlights of the course.
• 45km Lofty Mid-Lite – A fun ride designed to give beginners or the time-constrained to the sport a taste of the action.
• 21km Lofty FUN 21 – A shorty that’s fun and fast for all the family.

Proceeds from the ride will go back into helping rebuild the local community after bushfires, as well as fund their local firefighting amenities. (Raising for Rockleigh CFS support group)

You can camp overnight if required, and there are plenty of food options available if you can’t be bothered to cook for yourself.
