Event Details

The East Lake Charity Ride is your opportunity to cycle along Lake Illawarra and raise money for local charities

TheEast Lake Charity Ride is a charity ride around Lake Illawarra that is organised by the  Rotary Club of Warners Bay. The rides all finish at Speers Point Park, Lake Macquarie.

There are three scenic rides on offer. The 7-11km Family Ride, the 43 or 85km Individual Ride and the 85km Team Ride.

You’ll have the choice of two different distances for the Family Ride. You can either ride from Speers Point to Warners Bay and back, which is about 7km via the shared pathway. Or you can ride further along to the Lions Park at Eleebana and back, which is about 11km via the shared pathway.

The Individual Ride starts at two different locations, with both rides finishing at Speers Point Park. The 85km ride starts at Speers Point, with the 43km ride starting at Lake Munmorah. You’ll start at Speers Point Park and travel to Lake Munmorah via Belmont and Swansea on the Pacific Highway with a break at Catherine Hill Bay for those who wish to stop there. For those starting in Lake Munmorah there is a stop available in Belmont. The course is flat with small undulations.

The Team Ride is for the same 85km route as for the Individual Ride, with a minimum of 5 riders (maximum of 30 riders).

Please note that the roads are open and mostly single lane. It is a requirement of entry that riders are to be single file. This is to manage the public and to respect other road users.

  1. Hi,

Could you please advise if there will an East Lake Charity Ride in 2022?
If yes, do you have any details available at this early stage?

    Thanks
    Michael
