The Canberra to Mogo Zoo2Zoo ride takes you off the beaten track and through the scenic back country of  NSW.

The Canberra to Mogo Zoo2Zoo Ride is an organised two day mountain bike ride through the scenic back country of NSW whilst also raising funds for the treatment of depression and bipolar disorder.

The Z002Zoo Ride started in 2006  when a group of friends rode from Taronga Zoo to the Western Plains Zoo, with the simple goal of raising some money. Since then, the Z002Zoo Ride has evolved into a series of 5 rides held throughout the year: Melbourne to Canberra, Canberra to Dubbo, Canberra to Mogo, Sydney to Dubbo and Molong to Dubbo.

The Z002Zoo Ride is now raising money for the Black Dog Institute, which is a not-for-profit, educational, research, clinical and community-oriented facility offering specialist expertise in depression and bipolar disorder.

The Canberra to Mogo stint is a two day ride along the coastline just south of Batemans Bay on the New South Wales coast. A stunning part of the world, where you’ll travel through the backcountry over some very interesting hills and undulations on your way to the coast. Most of this ride is on country dirt trails and fire trails.

The weather in September can be mild, so best to bring a full wet/cold set and a dry/warm set. The temperature ranges from 5-20 degrees with a chance of drizzle.

There is a return transport back to Canberra.

This ride looks like a great 2 days cycling off the beaten track with some amazing scenery to enjoy!

Canberra is on the A25 or M23 off the M31. Travelling from Melbourne it is a 670km trip via the Hume Highway (M31 then A25), or 300km from Sydney via the Hume Highway (M31 then M21). Canberra is serviced by an Airport with flight connections to most Australian cities.
