The Melbourne Below the Belt Pedalthon is your chance to pedal the Sandown Racecourse and raise money to help defeat cancers below the belt

The Below the Belt Pedalthon Melbourne is your chance to raise money to defeat testicular, prostate, kidney and bladder cancers by riding laps around the Sandown Racecourse in Springvale Victoria. The Sandown Racecourse is about 30 km south east of Melbourne CBD and 45 km from the airport. There is also a similar ride held in Sydney – the Below the Belt Pedalthon Sydney. 

So the pedalthon is an event where you can ride around the closed circuit of the racetrack for three hours or do the one hour for the family challenge.

All funds raised (not just a small amount of them) will go towards the towards the  ANZup Cancer Trials Group Limited. This group sponsors clinical trials in cancer treatment against prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular cancers. All of which are below your belt!

The Below the Belt Pedalthon Melbourne is a day out for the whole family or your chance to get together a team of friends to ride as a group. There are two events the Open Race, where you can ride as many laps as you can in 3 hours. This includes a sprint challenge and a best-dressed award! Or you can ride for an hour with the family in the Family Challenge. You can register as an individual, team or as a family.

You’ll find a whole series of food and coffee and refreshments available, as well as entertainment at the course and a post-ride lunch and awards ceremony.

This is a great opportunity for those who wish to test themselves. Or if you are into motorsport and always wanted to ride this iconic track, then this is a fantastic opportunity to fulfil that dream.
