The Best Cycling Events in Western Australia

There’s a range of different cycling events in Western Australia. For an isolated State, there’s a very active cycling community.

A lot of rides are based in and around Perth, with orchards, bushland, dams, hills and a stunning coastline to enjoy.

Many of the regional rides are based in south-west WA and the Great Southern, starting or finishing in Perth. There’s also some rides based in the Goldfields, with only a few in northern WA.

These country rides provide the perfect opportunity to get away for the weekend and to support regional communities. It’s a great excuse for a long weekend!

You’ll find a mix of 1 day rides with a range of distances that cater for the novice, the daily commuter and families through to the experienced weekend warrior.

There’s a range of multi-day events that are predominantly point to point, with some looped. Many of these are quite challenging and require a reasonable level of fitness and some structured training.

You’re sure to find a ride that matches your level of experience and fitness as well as a ride that will challenge you!
