So what cycling events do you have planned for June?
June’s a quiet month for cycling events in Australia, with not too many rides on offer, thanks to the cooler (and wetter) weather of winter.
In New South Wales, you’ll find the Woolies on Wheels Ride. This is a 3 day ride outside of Sydney by Tour de Cure. The ride is limited to riders who are employee’s, businesses, partners and customers of Woolworths, which means it is invitation only.
In Queensland, you’ll find the iconic MS Brissie to the Bay charity ride. This family-friendly charity ride has been running for over 20 days now, with multiple distances to suit everyone.
You’ll also find a challenging week long ride through far north Queensland. The CTK: Cairns to Karumba Bike Ride is a charity ride that has been running for over 20 years, with the option to ride on dirt or road.
In Western Australia, the month starts off with the Goldfields Cyclassic at Kalgoorlie – Menzies – Leonora. This is a 2 day handicap race that now includes a community challenge for those that don’t want to race, and just want to enjoy the ride!
Around Perth, you’ll also find the Element Road Series, which is 3-4 series fondo or race. The first round is in the Swan Valley, which was postponed for 2019.
You’ll also find a list below of all of the rides in June. Click on the first little grey box to search for a Ride by the State, the Discipline (CX, Gravel, MTB or Road), the Terrain (flat, undulating, mountainous, mixed), the Distance (1-40, 41-80, 81-120, 121-160, 161+ km), the Type of Ride (24 hr, Century, Charity, Gran-Fondo, Multi-day, Recreational, Retro, Ultra) and the Location.
You can find other rides in our online Cycling Event Calendar, which has over 200 events listed in it.
And please don’t forget to leave a review of any rides you’ve attended. This helps other riders to work out if it’s a ride that they want to attend or not! All you have to do is leave a comment at the bottom of the page of the ride page. You can find a list of all the rides here.
