August Cycling Events in Australia

So what cycling events do you have planned for August?

In Australia, August is still winter, which means it’s highly likely that it’ll be wet and cold on the weekend. So in the southern part of Australia, you won’t find many rides on offer ie New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, the ACT, South Australia and even Western Australia.

But in the northern part of Australia (Queensland and the Northern Territory), it’s a different story! The weather is perfect for cycling. Warm days and slightly cooler nights! So you will find a few rides on offer. Not many mind you, but there are a few!

So in August, the Australian cycling calendar is much quieter, and it won’t start to pick up until the weather begins to warm up in September/October.
